We are surrounded by doors, and some of them we very much want to go through. Whether driven by desperation or determination, we knock, and pound our fists, and push with all our might. We know our answer is on the other side of that door!
But what if it’s not?
Imagine doors represent options and choices. We are faced with a problem, and we are convinced that we know what the answer is, so we knock on that door. And when it does not open, we are left with bruised knuckles from knocking so hard, we feel deflated and defeated. And it hurts.
But what if your solution is behind another door? What if the answer to your dilemma is different than what you imagined? In addition, this door swings open easily, and there is joy on the other side of the door. Let’s think outside of our boxes, save ourselves needless harm, and find a way forward.
